Mission Statement
The Criminal Case Data Exchange (CDX) Board is an advisory board created for the benefit of the judicial and executive branches of this state’s government to facilitate the compliance efforts of the various judicial agencies, judicial subdivisions, applicable courts, applicable clerks, and applicable executive branch of officers, departments, and agencies with the criminal case data transmission requirements.
Objectives
The CDX Board meets regularly to perform its duties. It reviews and participates in the improvement of this state’s criminal case data exchange and management systems. Using the combined expertise and experience of its members, it provides regular advice and counsel to criminal justice partners and enables its members to carry out their statutory duties related to criminal case data exchange. The board regularly reviews and updates uniform standards for the creation and transmission of criminal history data among local and state criminal justice agencies. This includes processes and procedures that criminal justice agencies must adopt to provide for the transmission and acceptance of such data among these agencies and the Georgia Crime Information Center.
Criminal Case History data includes arrests, indictments, accusations, information, and other formal charges along with final dispositions and convictions. The Board reports to leaders of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government on its progress in developing standards and makes recommendations for the improvement of criminal history data sharing for the benefit of the public, employers, and law enforcement.
