New Statewide Fuel Card Standards & Guidelines

New standards for use of the Statewide Fuel Card Standards & Guidelines that directly impacts all current drivers of state vehicles are now being communicated throughout the state. The guidelines, which are administered by the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) Office of Fleet Management (OFM) in cooperation with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget (OPB), have been updated with the aim of creating uniformity in the implementation and administration of the fuel card program and strengthening compliance across State government.

All state employees who operate an agency fleet or rental vehicle must complete the online fuel card training (video) and acknowledgement. Each employee must have their own 4-digit Fuel Card PIN to use when refueling a state vehicle. The PIN will need to be a 4-digit number that only the employee will remember and should not be shared with any other person. During the training you will be asked to enter your four-digit WEX Fuel PIN provided by the fiscal department. This will allow DOAS to confirm your acknowledgement of the Fuel Card Policies. At the end of the training you will be prompted to print a Certificate of Acknowledgement that you must give to Human Resources.
